Rotary polishers are designed for more professional and industrial use than orbital polishers and tend to be more heavy duty. Many rotary polishers can also double up as sanders or angle grinders as they all share the same basic design. Although rotary polishers make great car polishing machines, they can be used to polish a range of surfaces including floors, bare metal and of course cars. If you perform any bodywork maintenance on your car, an angle car polisher is probably the ideal tool as not only can it be used to polish the paint work, but with additional attachments can be used to provide a "key" for primer and used in between coats to sand lightly to help obtain that perfect factory finish. A rotary polisher needs to be used with a little more care than an orbital polisher and the internet is full of horror stories about misuse of a rotary polishing machine. However with a little care and some practise, that perfect showroom finish can be yours. After all the professionals use rotary car polishers for a reason. |
